Barclays Training under BARCLAYS YOUTH EMPLOYABILITY INITIATIVE held at Department of Computer Science (PG-CENTER), Poona College

A FINAL REPORT of the
Barclays Training under BARCLAYS YOUTH EMPLOYABILITY INITIATIVE held at Department of Computer Science (PG-CENTER), Poona College
The training took place for the students of T.Y.B.Sc. (C.S.) on 02 to 12 November 2016 at Department of Computer Science (PG-CENTER), Poona College by Global Talent Track Pvt. Ltd, Pune.
As part of their CSR initiative Barclays has decided to partner with GTT & NASSCOM Foundation in this initiative and GTT executing the training program under this initiative. The venture aims to provide ‘quality with scale’ through programs delivered with the help of innovative technologies and compelling content.
The 10 days (80 Hours) training was divided into 2 sessions: IT Domain Technical training, soft skill training.

Inauguration took place with the hands Principal Dr. M. Rafique Sarkhawas and Vice Principal Dr. Aftab Anwar Shaikh. Felicitation of Altaf Shaikh, Assistant Manager- Business Development and Sipra Lenka, IT Trainer from Global Talent Track took place by Principal and Vice Principal respectively.

After inauguration of training program with the hands of dignitaries the first session of IT domain on Core and advanced Java was carried out by proficient IT trainer Ms. Sipra Lenka of Global Talent Track, Pune and training continues for 07 days around 08 hours daily.

 All these 7 days of IT domain training of Core and Advance Java were utilized up to the fullest to provide as much knowledge as the trainer could. Each and every student were asked to code individually using their own logic. All the doubts were absolutely clarified.
All the students were given individual attention. Effort were taken a lot by the trainer so that every student must understand each and every point taught. The session ended making students aware about the upcoming technologies and the expectation of the corporate world. This session upgraded students’ knowledge to depths.
The second session of days 30 hours of Soft Skill training were conducted by a proficient Soft Skill Trainer Nikita Ajmera of GTT.
The first day of soft skills session started with introduction; the students were asked to introduce themselves by using an Adjective that would suit their personality the Adjective initial and their names initial should match up. Further all the students were given a topic and they had to speak on that topic for at least a minute this lead to an increase of confidence amongst students. Grammar was taught by giving them formulae’s. Those formulas indeed increases communication effectively. Activity was performed as well in which the students were asked to stand in increasing order of their birth month without saying a word using their logic.
 The second day was an etiquette learning day; making students aware about the etiquette of the corporate world, dining etiquette, dressing etiquette were taught as well. The students were taught to prepare a C.V. They were even taught legal mailing, emailing etiquette were stressed on as well. The students were asked to get a C.V for them prepared by themselves. A Group Discussion was held as well. The group discussion was observed by the trainer and all the does and don't s were highlighted.
On the third day of soft skill training the C.V’s brought by the students were checked manually and all the necessary correction were done. Furthermore a Personality Test was conducted for all students, the test results 80-90% in accuracy. A Mock Interview was conducted as well and all the possible questions that are apt for an interview were discussed and also taught how to answer such questions.

At the end of training Valedictory Program held at Computer science Department where Nikita Ajmera Soft Skill Trainer felicitated with the bouquet and a Gift behalf of entire batch as a token of gratitude by the Principal Dr. M. Rafique Sarkhawas and appreciated her thoughtful efforts.

The entire training (IT Domain + soft skill) were very much enlightening. The time went off as a glimpse of an eye. The session upgraded the knowledge of the student making them confident enough to stand in the corporate world.
The faculty coordinator of the training program Mr. Mirza Imran Baig and Qureshi Imran have taken a lot of efforts for smooth conduction of entire training program.
